NAME:  PATCH

BREED: Working Cocker Spaniel

AGE: 11 months

CHILDREN: We would recommend an adult only home, he was showing resource guarding tendencies in his previous home with a child. No visiting children either please, which means grandchildren unless they are adults.

OTHER DOGS: He has been good with all dogs during his assessments but due to his resource guarding we would recommend he lives an only dog to reduce any potential difficulties in a home with another dog.

CATS: Has not yet been cat tested

MORE INFORMATION: He was relinquished for resource guarding, but we feel it is realatively minimal and would be comfortably managed with sensible handling and continuing to make him feel comfortable and confident that people aren't going to take things from him. He is very strong on lead, this is going to be a long process and he wouldn't suit anyone frail for that reason

IDEAL HOME: Patch would best suit an active household that can stimulate him mentally and physically. He loves toys and training

FEEDING: We feed him a raw Diet, Barking Heads or Natures Diet at Glendee

HEALTH: He has been healthy during his stay with us

LOCATION: At Glendee Rescue,Hertfordshire

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: Patch has shown no major issues during his stay with us. He is excitable on a walk and does pull on the lead initially so this could be further worked on. Due to his potential to be a resource guarder we have been very careful not to encourage this during his stay and this would need to be carefully managed in his new home.

This is our current assessment, the assessments are on-going as always, and although we temperament test our dogs in many situations, we can not know how they be when they arrive in your home, support is given as always be given by the trainer you are matched to.
