NAME:  JARVIS

BREED: Working cocker spaniel

AGE: unknown- young adult approx 4

CHILDREN: Due to his history we recommend no children.

OTHER DOGS: he has been great with all dogs during his assessment

CATS: not yet tested

MORE INFORMATION: Jarvis is your typical working cocker, lots of energy and lots of fun! A busy little man with a lovely personality and very sweet. He has a past incident of bite history so this mist be considered when finding him a new home, however, we do not know the exact details for the build up to this situation, since arriving with us he has been really happy and easy going but potentially he will have a trigger that brings out something at some point, potentially resource guarding? Fear of being touched, his previous owner was heavy handed with the training he used, he used to be told off for any signs of being uncomfortable with situations which potentially resulted in this bite as a last straw for him.

IDEAL HOME: Jarvis would best suit a home where he is stimulated both mentally and physically. He's a busy lad and loves to be doing things to keep him entertained. He would love long walks and even training revolving around things dogs like him love to do. There are some great positive gundog trainers offering classes now and he would love to be part of that kind of group as long as they used only kind methods.

FEEDING: he loves his food and at the kennels is fed a raw diet of natural instinct

HEALTH: he has been healthy during his stay at the kennels, though he is carrying a couple of Christmas pounds!

LOCATION: At Glendee Rescue,Hertfordshire

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS : He would thrive in any environment where he could do some training. He loves food and toys. Though we have had no issues with him during his stay here, he did bite in his precious home so it is something to be aware of in the future in his new home.

This is our current assessment, the assessments are on-going as always, and although we temperament test our dogs in many situations, we can not know how they be when they arrive in your home, support is given as always be given by the trainer you are matched to.
