Glendee Rescue & Rehoming is owned and run by Georgina Armstrong, who in turn is supported by a dedicated team of people. Our mission is to save as many dogs as we can from being put to sleep, through no fault of their own and to place them in loving homes, giving them a second chance for happiness.

Situated in North Mymms, Hertfordshire, Glendee Kennels is primarily a 5* boarding kennels for both cats and dogs. Recognising the horrendous plight of so many unwanted family pets and strays, a number of kennels are now dedicated to these dogs.

After a couple of days to settle in and with a full tummy, dogs begin their assessment at the kennels or in their foster homes.

Georgina is supported in this assessment by her husband, Steve Mann, one of the leading dog trainers in the UK. Staff at Glendee are trained to use Reiki techniques on the dogs, which is invaluable in helping them adapt to their new surroundings and learning to trust again.

Dogs are then assessed, as far is as possible with the following:

* Other dogs in the home and out walking

* Cats

* Children

* Visitors

* Traveling in the car

* Being left alone for periods of time

* Possession of toys and food

When these assessments have been carried out, sometimes over a period of weeks, dogs can be matched to the most suitable home environment and placed in a loving forever home, which they so richly deserve.
